ABOUT US

Captain Cary Shineldecker is a native of West Michigan and fishing is his passion.  This passion has taken him in pursuit of sport fish from the equator to the arctic circle.  Cary started his guiding career in 1983 at Rainbow King Lodge in Iliamna, Alaska.  He also guided at the Bighorn Trout Shop in Fort Smith, Montana in 1986.  Cary started fishing on Lake Michigan in the late 70's and has adapted as the fishery has evolved.  Cary is well versed in all types of tackle and techniques for catching Great Lakes Trout and Salmon.  You will not find a Captain who will work any harder to find and catch fish.

Kingfisher II is a 3100 Tiara/Pursuit Express Fisherman.  She is a very roomy, seaworthy vessel with an over all length of 31'-6" and a beam of 12'-0".  She is kept very clean inside and out.
